Wow, just think about it. Do you think that parents could really be blown away by the taste of a drink and forget about what their child may have done. As a parent. I don’t think so. This commercial for a new type of Pepsi called Pepsi Next was very creative, reminded me of the movie Risky Business when the mom sees a crack in her egg but doesn’t want to believe that something has happened in the house, and just like the movie was unrealistic. I guess the Pepsi brand is what sells the product.

The element of surprise is when the parents enter the house the has that has been turned into what looks like a nightclub with flashing lights, loud music and crazy acting people doing strange things.

Although a very catchy ad, with the use of starting and stopping of sound layering, along with many camera angels or scene changes. Here is the breakdown in 5 second intervals. I can only assume that this product is being marketed to the young crowd and perhaps to make people think that less sugar in a drink is ok if the flavor is ok as well.

By the way the commecial has not convinced me to buy the product by the famous brand because I believe sodas of any type are not good for you. I also didn’t realize the significance of the milk or the cat other than maybe they are saying that you can drink the product instead of milk because it has less sugar. Or perhaps a parody where you say “no more milk” like Chic-fil-a “no more beef”
